         Trevor Cralle...

Bay area surfer and lexicographer Trevor Cralle
paid a special visit to CSM on July 21, and informed
us that the third edition of his popular book
“Surfin’ary” is scheduled to come out in 2025.
The surfer’s language is one of the strongest (and
most surprising) influences on modern American
English today - our everyday speech is alive with
words that originate from this mythic beach culture
        rooted in ancient Polynesia.
Trevor was full of compliments for our “Stars, Cars,
and Guitars” exhibit: “This all just pops! You’ve made
        this era truly come alive!”

      bit of surf culture.
