ITS 3-STEP DELIVERY
Our structured 3-Step Delivery Method provides a clear and supportive pathway for learners to gain valuable knowledge,
develop practical skills, and explore potential career opportunities — with the option to achieve a recognised qualification.
THE 3-STEP DELIVERY METHOD IS IDEAL FOR:
· Individuals employed across a variety of industries
· Students undertaking structured work placements
· Community or training groups seeking a flexible learning pathway
Step 1 – Interactive Workshop
Learners begin with a two-day interactive workshop designed to introduce key concepts and foundational knowledge. This
engaging session encourages participation and discussion, establishing a strong theoretical base for the next stages of
learning.
Step 2 – Practical Experience
Participants then complete practical observations within their workplace or during an approved work placement. This stage
allows learners to apply their knowledge in real settings, gaining experience while demonstrating competence. All required
observations are conducted by the learner’s employer, supervisor, or line manager, using our user-friendly ITS resources to
ensure consistency and quality.
Step 3 – Self-Paced Assessment
Once practical components are complete, learners complete their final self-paced assessments. This flexible approach
allows each participant to consolidate their learning and complete the qualification requirements at their own pace.
WORK BASED LEARNING
Industry Training Solutions (ITS) partners with businesses across Aotearoa to deliver high-quality Work Based Learning
(WBL) that builds real capability on the job. Our model is simple – we come to you, or your people connect with us through
flexible in-work delivery options including face-to-face training, Live Online workshops, Correspondence pathways, and
Cloud-supported assessment. Whether you are a small whānau-owned café or a national retail group, we design training
that fits your roster, your seasonality, and your staff’s learning needs.
Our vocational pathway is built around a comprehensive suite of short courses and Micro-Credentials that stack
toward the New Zealand Certificate in Service Sector Skills (Level 3). This programme is ideal for apprentices and emerging
staff in hospitality and retail – providing practical, transferable skills with clear progress markers and strong completion
support. ITS is already active in WBL spaces aligned with the new ISB direction, giving employers a partner who understands
where vocational education is heading and how to prepare their workforce for it.
For organisations needing confidence and compliance, ITS also delivers a full one-stop suite of regulatory training
– First Aid, Liquor Licensing & Alcohol Management, Food Safety, and industry-mandated Health & Safety courses. These
programmes are delivered nationwide and can be tailored for single-site operators or large multi-site employers. If you’re
looking to reduce your compliance burden, strengthen staff capability, or integrate apprenticeship learning into your
workforce plan, talk to us. We’ll align the right training at the right level – and help you unlock the full potential of your people.
