MESSAGE FROM

PRESIDENT OF ICAI

Globalization together with technological advancements has changed the economies across the
world and in today’s global marketplace, only organizations relevant to market dynamics will survive
and grow. The effects of globalisation and technology have meant that trade is not only a business
exchange, but a cultural exchange as well.

Indian Chartered Accountancy profession has emerged stronger with testing times. This has
empowered the professionals to face the new world with more confidence, expertise and excellence,
so that not only the opportunities are utilized to the fullest, but at the same time withstand the
challenges of ever dynamic economic scenario. Today our members are strategic partners, advisors,
and collaborators who know how to create advantage and long-term sustainability for the business.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India is doing its part to ensure that more members have
the all-round skills required and is endeavoring to position brand Indian Chartered Accountancy
globally. It is heartening to note that the Doha Chapter of ICAI is organizing its 5th International
Conference on October 25-26, 2018 on the theme “Sustainability and Growth in the Digital era”.

I am glad that Doha Chapter of ICAI has been playing a pivotal role in organizing professional
development activities for the benefit of our members and assisting in demonstrating high level
competence in foreign land. I am confident that the event would provide an excellent opportunity to
interact with the experts in the field and know emerging areas of professional development in the
global economic scenario. I hope the deliberations would enable the participants to face the new
challenges effectively.

I compliment the Chairman Doha Chapter of ICAI and his entire team for all the professional initiatives
being taken from time to time and wish the event a grand success.
