Sheikha Athba Althani

Sheikha Athba Althani, advisor to the chairman & CEO of leading construction company, QDVC
and CEO of growing IT company – Advanced Computing Company (ACC) can be regarded as a
successful and proactive businesswoman in Qatar. She believes in taking challenges and at the
young age of 12 realised that curiosity is the key to knowledge which led her to be an achiever in
many fields. She has always believed in putting in extra efforts and as a result has been awarded for
her initiatives, suggestions and work.

Sheikha Athba has also pushed herself to educate herself and has received the HEC-EMBA Degree
in 2014 as well as a post-doctoral candidate for business administration.

Among her many initiatives, Sheikha Athba was responsible for conceptualizing and executing
sustainability and Qatarization at QDVC. She has been a key note speaker for issues concerning
the environment, women empowerment and CSR. In 2013, she was awarded the National Human
Rights award for increasing transparency in the treatment of construction workers at labour camps.
Sheikha Athba has also excelled in the field of arts , a solo exhibition of her art work was displayed
under the patronage of French Embassy in Qatar. Sheikha Athba is a member of CIOB, participated
in the Qatar Leadership Center in 2016, is the CEO at Al Asriyah, the first Qatari owned French
kindergarten. Sheikha Athba is well versed in Arabic, English, Hindi & French.
