CA Babu Jayendran

CA Babu Jayendran has over 35 years experience in Information Systems Auditing and Controls.
After completing his B.Sc (Hons) in Mathematics, from IIT Kharagpur, he qualified as a Chartered
Accountant and then became a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) in 1985. Babu has also
been a speaker at several meetings and seminars on Information Systems Audit in India & abroad.
He consults on SAP’s Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) suite, and covers the Security, Audit
and Control aspects for SAP customers, from a business and technical perspective.He is an Expert
Reviewer for ISACA’s 2nd, 3rd & 4th edition publication of ‘SAP R/3 Security, Audit and Control
Features – A Technical and Risk Management Reference Guide’ Babu is also consulting in the area
of pattern recognition software for forensic auditing in banks, using neural networks and artificial
intelligence. He also advises clients in the area of Blockchain.

CA Saumya Krishna

CA Saumya Krishna is a Director leading the Valuations, Modelling and Commercial Advisory practice
for Deloitte in Qatar. She has over 14 years of experience covering investment banking, valuation,
commercial advisory, corporate finance and M&A transactions. She provides consultancy and advice
to clients across different sectors for acquisitions, restructurings, disposals, dispute resolution,
negotiation and financial reporting purposes. Saumya also has extensive experience leading training
for Deloitte’s clients and staff on valuations, expected credit loss provisioning, impairment reviews
and corporate finance best practices.
Saumya received her undergraduate degree in Commerce (honours) from Lady Shri Ram College
in Delhi University. She is a Chartered Accountant (CA) and also holds an MBA which was pursued
with a full scholarship. She is also a Registered Member of CPA Australia.
As a female business leader in Qatar, she is passionate about encouraging women to pursue their
passion and profession. Along with a friend, Saumya has also co-founded a professional forum
called Women in Finance and Accounting, Qatar to contribute towards inclusive growth and diversity
in Qatar’s professional fraternity.Married to Gaurav Kakkar, also a Chartered Accountant and
Immediate Past Chairman of Doha chapter, she lives in Qatar with their two children.
