Mr Ahmed Al Mukhaini

Mr Ahmed Al Mukhaini a researcher and analyst in public policy and governance. He is currently
serving as an advisor at the Office of the Executive President at the Capital Market Authority in the
Sultanate of Oman.
Prior to his current career milestone, he chaired the SASLO Legal Training Center. Moreover, he
served at the Omani Majlis Ash-Shura (elected chamber of the bicameral council of Oman) between
1999-2008 in several capacities, the last of which was Assistant Secretary General for Information.
During his tenure at the Majlis he handled medical malpractice and health promotion portfolios.
His other career stops included serving as the political advisor-cum-assistant to two American
ambassadors in Oman and head of the Hospital Information System at the Sultan Qaboos University
Hospital.
He is an alumnus of Durham University and the University of Glamorgan (now the University of
South Wales, UK), as well as the US-based Georgetown University Leadership Seminar, and the
Southern Methodist University Rule of Law Program, USA.
