The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) Doha Chapter
hosted the first ‘ICAI CPE Global Connect — Leader Speak’ webcast.
This is an initiative of the Continuous Professional Education (CPE)
Committee of ICAI to have leaders across the globe to talk on
subjects of varied interest and connect with the ICAI fraternity.
Doha Bank Group CEO Dr R Seetharaman, who is also a member
of the ICAI, was the speaker. On the subject of “Emerging India from
an NRI perspective”, he put forth many factors that make India a
“must-go destination” for everyone. Seetharaman opined that India
drives economic transformation globally. The country is one of the
leaders in emerging markets with growth of 7.4% and is a model in
terms of financial transformation.
