   ONCAC Statewide Human Trafficking Response - Year 1 Summary
During the first year of this grant, monumental initiatives have been put into practice, including the establishment of a comprehensive data collection system, advanced practice trainings, innovative webinars, a comprehensive needs analysis, strategic response enhancements, and capacity building among underserved communities.
Among the approaches and results discussed in this summary will be: a) the inaugural 2018 ONtarget Webinar Series, b) ETG Training, c) Service Expansion, d) Survey Tool development and refinement, and e) data analysis and response/capacity growth.
    ONtarget: Bringing Together Innovative Approaches to Address Child Trafficking in Ohio
Responses to child trafficking to date have been largely reactive and reliant upon adaptations of existing methods that are not specifically tailored to address the needs of youth victim/survivors of human trafficking. A more intentional approach is currently being enacted statewide, starting with ONtarget in May of 2018 during National Human Trafficking Awareness Month – an MDT discipline-specific interactive lecture series that brings in national experts that are developing innovative and promising approaches.
This technology leveraged approach was taken to ensure that the most innovative anti-trafficking experts from around the country could share their pioneering approaches with largest number of providers within the CAC network and partner agencies. This year, ONtarget brought together 273 professionals. The vast majority of participants were providers in Ohio, however this flagship series also reached out nationally to providers in Louisiana, Michigan, Indiana, Virginia, and California. Evaluations of these sessions likewise were overwhelmingly positive, with many participants requesting additional offerings of the ONtarget Series.

How Human Trafficking Affects Vulnerable Populations: Persons With Disabilities - 5/8/18
Presenter- Iona Rudisill, LGSW is a certified National Victim’s Advocate for victims of child abuse, and a national subject matter expert in human trafficking. Her specialties include child abuse interventions, sexual assault interventions, homicides, and domestic violence. As a member and certified trainer of the Maryland Human Trafficking Task Force (MHTTF), Iona has delivered trainings nationwide on issues related to Domestic Minor Sex Trafficking. Iona received a Master of Science in Social Work from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Education from Pennsylvania State University.
