The Streaks of Color

Amidst the Dark Clouds ...

We are living in strange times these days. None of
us, in our worst nightmare would have thought we
would see our realities altered in such a frightening
way.
As the world saw the public health crisis unfold in
China in December, no one imagined it would soon
turn into a pandemic a ecting more than 600,000
Sharon Sebastian people across 170 countries and killing more than
30,000. As I write, I know that the number of
COVID-19 positive cases are rising, deaths are rising
and lives are getting shattered.

As we all wait with dreaded uncertainty as to what
this pandemic might hold for our beloved country,
Kerala which has long been a prominant outlier with
regards to positive public health outcomes, gears
itself to face this crisis unflinched. With more than
150 positive cases of COVID-19 in Kerala alone and
a lockdown in place across the country, we will
hopefully overcome this crisis and see the light at
the end of the tunnel soon. A huge shout-out to all
our healthcare workers, first responders, essential
service providers, volunteers and every brave soul
who is fighting this from the frontlines so that the
rest of us can stay in and stay safe.
While the fear remains, here are a few words which
will hopefully resonate with each one of us
dedicated to our amended lives as we battle this
together.
