who came in contact with him, for whatever reason,
will never forget the wide smile he always had on
his face, and the sincere love and a ection he
showed to all. With the passing away of Madhavan
Chettan, the Malayalee community of Metro Detroit
has lost a steadfast champion and a guiding light.
As we mourn the loss of this well-respected and
dearly loved visionary, we wanted to acknowledge
his remarkable life and the many ways in which he
touched the lives of everyone around him. Here are
some tributes to Madhavan Chettan from those
who admired and respected him.
Thycodathu Shajahan: “Madhavan
Chettan was more like an older
brother to me than a mere friend. He
was a perfect gentleman. I admired
his well-disciplined life with his loving
wife Indira. I never saw him raise his voice in anger.
His usual loud laughter still rings in my ears. His
hospitality is worth mentioning. How could I forget
the countless times we had dinner at their house?
