MEMBER PROFILE

      This year marks a significant
      milestone for Linton Window
& Door in Cambridge as the
      company celebrates 50 years
      of excellence.
Since its founding in 1974 by Jim Linton,
Linton Window & Door has remained
steadfast in its commitment to quality
and exceptional service, building a legacy
of excellence that continues to this day.
Over the past five decades, they have
built a solid reputation for delivering
      high-quality products and maintaining
      exceptional standards, becoming a
trusted and recognizable brand in the
      Waterloo Region community.
When recession hit in the 1980s,
Jim moved west to pursue other
      opportunities, and Walter 'Wally'
Ferguson took full ownership of the
company. In 2006, Wally's son, Matt
Ferguson, took over and continued to
      uphold the company's high standards.
In 2001, Brandon Weber was just out
of high school and working at a local
lumber yard. While helping a Linton
installer load up their lumber order, the
      installer suggested Brandon approach
the company’s owner about a potential
opening. Brandon took the advice and
set up a meeting with Matt.
“I said to him, 'I heard you’re looking to
hire. When can I start?'” recalls Brandon.
Two weeks later, Brandon started as a
junior installer. “They worked me very
hard,” laughs. “I started off picking up
garbage and doing whatever needed to
be done, going to different job sites.”
By 2010, Brandon had set his sights on
      owning the company. His opportunity
came in 2012 during a dinner with Matt,
      where they discussed Brandon's future
      and the possibility of ownership.
“We put a deal together on a napkin Quality and consistency
at Boston Pizza,” laughs Brandon. “We
literally picked a date and signed the help open many doors
deal seven years later, only two months
      from that original date.”

      This informal agreement laid the
      groundwork for his eventual acquisition
of the company, marking a new chapter
      in the company's storied history.
BRANDON WEBER, OWNER OF LINTON WINDOW & DOOR
