Project Title: Propane Can Do That® Showcase Home

Brief Description of the Rocky Mountain PERC to build a propane showcase home to
Project: provide education and training to all the decision makers during a
home build or purchase. The home will be used as an education
tool for designers, builders, plumbers, realtors, buyers, and
propane marketers. This project will install the latest propane
technology from tank to burner tip and develop educational
training videos for decision makers and contractors.
State rebate funds awarded between July 1, 2018 and June 30, 2019 total $8,724,589.93.
Projects focusing on consumer and workforce safety accounted for 43% of all awarded state
rebate funds and include workforce training, consumer safety outreach, regulator rebates, and
industry communications. Safe Installation of Appliances projects accounted for 30% of all
awarded state rebate funds during this time. Training for external audiences’ projects are
primarily for Propane Emergencies training and construction professionals but include some
outreach & training for autogas and other markets. R&D projects are primarily funding vehicle
incentives but include other R&D work including incentives for irrigation engines and builders.
Twelve state entities used funds to support consumer education activities through a variety of
mediums including digital, print, radio, and events.
