P. 14

“A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas
                was with them.

Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among
them and said, ‘Peace be with you!’
Then he said to Thomas, ‘Put your finger here; see my hands.
Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and

                believe.’
Thomas said to him, ‘My Lord and my God!’
Then Jesus told him, ‘Because you have seen me, you have be-
lieved; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed’”

                (John 20:26-29).

Notice: Jesus didn’t get angry with Thomas for doubting. Instead, he
helped Thomas move past doubt to embrace a confident faith.

Jesus shared something with you, and the rest of us who weren’t
there that day, in this passage: We’re blessed when we believe. We’re
blessed when we set aside our doubt and experience Jesus.
A question for you: What else would Jesus have to do to remove your

doubts about him being who he said he was? To remove your doubts that
            he loves you?
In addition to what he’s already done, what else would you like him
to do before you’re willing to be all-in as his follower and friend?

                Or has he done enough?
