3. Order your life according to Kingdom priorities.
It just makes sense: You’re living in God’s Kingdom now; it’s time to
fully move in and make it your home. No more waffling between the King-
dom of God and the kingdom of man. Decide you’re all-in.
Willingly submit to King Jesus, accepting his authority in your life.
Do your best to avoid entanglements and, if you find yourself caught
in one, say so and get help.
Above all, keep your eyes firmly on what and who is most important:
Jesus.
4. Embrace Kingdom priorities.
Part of embracing the Kingdom of God is embracing its priorities.
Jesus summed them up nicely when asked to identify the greatest com-
mandments—the foundational priorities of his Kingdom:
“‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul
and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this:
‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater
than these” (Mark 12:30-31).
So, love God and love others.
You’re to be loving—to be fully committed to God. That’s who you
are—a loving, all-in disciple who’s loving God and others.
And then, in giving a last assignment to his disciples, Jesus also said
this:
“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. There-
fore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name
of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” (Matthew 28:18-
19).
One way to love God and others is to do this: Invite them into the
Kingdom and help them grow there. Do for them what your discipler is
doing for you.
