Job Interview Question 64

What are some of your leadership experiences?

Any job where you will be managing others or even leading a team will be very interested in
previous leadership experiences.

   They want to know:
what kind of leader you are
      how you motivate others
how you manage the details—as well as the people.

If you already have some experience managing others or leading a team, that’s great. If you do not
already have management experience, that’s OK. Think of any time when you organized a project or
were placed in charge of getting something done, either at work, at school, or in a volunteer setting.

Use the STAR format to talk about these experiences:
                        Situation or Task –
Were youplaced in charge of a project? Did you volunteer to spearhead a
project from start to finish? What was the scope of the project? How many
people did you lead (quantification)? What was your goal?
                        Action –
How did you start? How did you decide who should do what? How did you
