Job Interview Question 65

What are the most important qualities of successful people?
How do you rate yourself in those areas?

For an overall strategy: I would choose 5 qualities and rate myself very good
on 2-3 and good with room for improvement on the rest.

I would never say that I was outstanding in all 5 areas, because that means that you don’t believe
you have room to learn and grow, and I believe we all do.

Here are some qualities you could choose:
                        Dedication –
To be successful, you must want it and be willing to work at it even when it is
difficult and you’d rather be doing something else.
                        Persistence –
It takes self-discipline to be persistent in the face of adversity, but we will
always face adversity. The only way to get past it to success is to never give up.
                        Positive Attitude –
A positive attitude contributes to your success in a thousand ways—in
interactions with others, your ability to keep going in the face of obstacles, in
your physical health so that you can keep going, and in your expectations. If you
can visualize and expect success, you are more likely to experience it.
Willingness to Listen to Others and Learn –
You can never stop learning and growing if you want to be successful. You can
learn a lot by reading, and by talking with and listening to others who have also
                        been successful.
A Desire to be a Subject Matter Expert –
To be successful, you need to know what you’re doing. You should always be
moving toward a being a SME in your field—by reading, listening, and learning.
