were legitimately angry. Once you talked about it, you successfully addressed the issue and the
employee was satisfied.
Her mother was diagnosed with cancer, so you worked out a flex plan so she could take care of
her personal business and still be productive at her job.
You called them into your office, pointed out their behavior in private, and worked out a
Personal Improvement Plan. When they realized how their actions were going to hurt them and
maybe even get them fired, they straightened up.
Any story you can tell where you assessed the problem, communicated with the employee, came up
with a professional, specific, and results-oriented plan of action, executed it and realized success, is
a good story to tell here.
