United in Diversity foundation or Upaya
Indonesia Damai is a non for profit
organization established with Indonesian
leaders from diverse sectors of business,
government and civil society. The foundation
has been launched in a United in Diversity
Forum in Bali a decade ago jointly with
Massachusetts Institute of Technology
Sloan School of Management, University of
Indonesia and Sinar Harapan.
United in Diversity foundation believes in tri-sector collaboration to restore trust
and reduce poverty through innovative solutions of sustainable development
engaging with the world. IDEAS (Innovative Dynamic Education and Action for
Sustainability) is a tri-sectors leadership program at the core of the prototype
and action based learning initiative of United in Diversity foundation. To date
there has been 120 IDEAS Indonesia fellows from diverse sectors of business,
government and civil society.
Initiatives the foundation support include the rebuilding of 300 homes in Nias
after devastation of Earthquake and Blue Auction with Monaco Asia Society
with Prince Albert and Conservation International, and the Learning Farm
providing organic farming skills for disenfranchised youths in Indonesia.
