3.1.3 Courtesy
a) Be kind, courteous, professional, and respectful to parents, students, co-workers,
immediate head, supervisors, managers, external partners, and the public.
b) Be cordial to your co-workers and supervisors/managers. Use “please” and “thank
you.”
c) Refrain from behaviors, actions, or language constituting workplace harassment
or bullying. Any form of workplace harassment or bullying is unacceptable
conduct.
d) Value diversity and value each other.
3.1.4 Ethics
Conduct yourself according to the highest ethical standards and promote an
environment of public trust that is free from conflicts of interest, fraud, abuse of authority,
and misuse of college property.
3.1.5 Safety
a) Must have a knowledge or training on NDRRM’s Disaster and Emergency
Response Procedures
b) Follow all safety directives of the Department of Health and the Department of
Labor and Employment in Occupational Health and Safety.
c) Use good judgment in decision-making and follow safety guidelines where
appropriate. If there is a question on the appropriate course of action, clarify the
question with your supervisor before proceeding.
d) No pets are allowed in the workplace.
3.1.6 Teamwork
a) Work as a team for the good of the ICC’s mission.
b) Share information and good ideas to improve operations and outcomes.
c) Celebrate each other’s achievements to promote the success of our Institution.
d) Be receptive to constructive feedback.
e) Be open to input from your co-workers, direct reports, and supervisors/managers.
f) Seek help when you need it and give help when asked.
3.1.7 Responsibility and Accountability
a) Meet commitments and deadlines.
b) Be “work focused”; dependable and accountable; productive.
c) Take care of personal needs and business only during your breaks and lunch
period.
d) Keep your supervisor informed of any problems or issues so he/she is aware of
them before hearing of it from a customer or co-workers.
e) Notify your supervisor as far in advance as possible when you think you may not
meet a deadline.
f) Follow instructions and directions given by a supervisor or a manager in a timely
and respectful manner. If you have questions or need clarification, ask well before
the deadline of the project.
