of fears cropping up, such as, ‘what if our partner leaves us?’, ‘what
if our partner starts troubling us or our parents in future?’ or, what if
we do not get to marry the person of our choice?’ Once married

                there are other fears related to our child; what if the child falls sick;
what if the child passes away; or what is he going to choose as his
career? Will he get a nice life partner?

Throughout our lives with our narrow mindedness, we keep making
demands; we feel happy when we get what we want, and we feel
sad when we do not get what we wish for. Is there anything that can
provide us long-lasting happiness? We suffer for something that we

love, we dream about it, and we get happy when we finally get it. But
after a few days, it starts feeling like a burden. We are so afraid of
losing something that is supposed to give us happiness that we start
guarding it all the time. In reality, we want to make something ours,
only when our mind says that we cannot get it. We want something

desperately if our friends and relatives give it much value and
importance. We want to get it so that we can brandish in front of
others and derive happiness in that moment; and anyway, People
and things hold more value until they become ours.

We spend our entire life living a fake life. In reality materialistic things
do not bring us happiness; it is a mental state which defines whether

we are happy or not. You can take somebody who is depressed to
the biggest of hotels, will he get the happiness that he craves for?
Will an expensive car be able to bring him happiness?

Let us assume that you had a fantastic time in the college for about
three to four years. But presently, when you are facing tough times in

your life, do you feel happy or sad recalling the college days? What
hurts you the most? To recall the happy days of the past and the
knowledge that you may never get them back. Even when a person
thinks about his old happy days, he feels suffocated; we can neither
capture happiness forever nor can we preserve it for future.
Happiness is just a state of mind.
