               Fasting is NOT an easy thing to do. In fact, we are so addicted to sugar

               and food that scientists say it’s worse than being addicted to cocaine.

                                                             Why?  Because when a drug user
                                                             beats the addiction to take drugs,

                                                             he can stay away from drugs and

                                                             stay clean.  However, when it comes
                                                             to food, we still need to eat every

                                                             day, so food is constantly in our
                                                             faces so to speak and this is where

                                                             unbelievable self-control comes to

                                                             play.  Galatian 5:23 mentions “Self-
                                                             Control” as a fruitage of Jehovah’s

                                                             Holy Spirit. I bet you never thought

               of food in this regard.


               Cancer is no game; it is a life-threatening illness that claims 10 million

               lives per year. If there is any moment in your life to put Self Control to
               the test, it is NOW.  I did this personally, even though I am not dealing

               with cancer.  When it was time for me to tell one of our cancer patients

               “You need to fast for 15 days and then we will start the protocol,” I felt
               a bit detached from what that really meant and how hard this could be

               for a patient who is already weak.  For me to have the empathy and
               understanding of just how challenging long-term fasting would be, I

               decided to do it myself.  Here is what I did.


               Month one, I went 3 days just on water.  The following month, I did 7

               days just on water.  90 days later, I did 10 days just on water.  90 days
               later, I did 14 days just on water.  90 days later, I did 21 days just on

               water. And ever since, fasting has become part of my life.  Why?

               Because I have seen the absolutely incredible results mentally,
