So, to simply remove a tumor does not resolve the long-term issue.
For example, if someone got the flu, and has a terrible runny nose,
would cutting off their nose resolve the flu? Of course not, that’s crazy.
The flu is in your entire body, and the symptom is a runny nose. In a
similar way, the symptom of cancer is the tumor.
To further illustrate: In my back yard, I had a tree called a Fiddle Leaf
Fig Tree. It is a fast grower and looks beautiful. The only problem is
that, like everything else in Florida, it never stops growing. It became
so invasive that it grew over 18’ tall and nothing else could grow
around it as its roots took all of the nutrients from the soil.
We decided to cut it down because it was out of control. I cut it about
3” from the base line,
leaving only the trunk in
the ground. Within one
year, this tree regrew
itself along with multiple
other pups to over 8’ tall.
So, I decided this time to
poison and cut down the
tree and its siblings so it
would not come back.
(This tree is in the very back part of my large yard and so I usually don’t see it that
frequently.) I believed this tree was finally gone, until to my surprise, I
noticed it was growing faster and stronger than ever before, with five
new pups growing next to it.
I thought to myself, “you have to be kidding me.” Finally, after talking
to a horticulturist friend of mine, he said the ONLY way to be rid of this
