Think of it this way: If your body made a tumor as a natural defense

mechanism due to damaged cells and an imbalance in your body

chemistry, would not correcting that imbalance and cleaning up the
mutated cells produce a tumor-free environment? There are many

factors to consider when making the decision to opt in for surgery.

This type of therapy was designed to try and kill cancer cells using high

energy radiation by

cancer cells. Using waves
or beams of ionized

radioactive particles via a
linear accelerator, such as

an external beam

generator, the DNA of the
mutated cells become damaged, shrink, and die. This process is not

instantaneous. Some cells might take days or weeks to die, so typically

radiation therapy is used adjunctly with other protocols like
chemotherapy to get the best effect. Radiation therapy can only work

in specific areas of the body where oxygen is present.
