place, and you will need to decide if it is for you. Here are the pros and
cons:
Pros
• Has the ability to wipe out a large portion of cancerous cells in a
specific area but does not have the ability to kill them all.
• Shrinks tumors, especially in preparation for surgery. Enables
very large tumors to have a less of an effect on an organ.
• Much like receiving X-rays, it is a painless procedure and non-
invasive.
• Acts to stimulate an immune system response against the tumor.
• Helps kill and contain microscopic mutated cells in preparation for
surgery.
Cons
• Will not kill the Mother Cells, only Daughter Cells. As a result, it is
only partially effective and will not permanently cure cancer.
• Does not work well in areas of the body with poor blood
circulation and poor oxygen, such as limbs and deep cavities of
the body.
• Causes 30% mortality rate due to exposure to radiation.
• Unable to kill all of the cancer cells in a tumor or surrounding
area, which will only produce a short window of relief, as the un-
killed cells will reproduce faster than radiation can kill them.
• Damage to healthy surrounding tissue. Because radiation has to
pass through healthy tissue, healthy cells will also die in the
process.
• Poor healing occurs after treatment, and the long-term effects
can show up many months later, as normal damaged cells
