In conclusion, your body creates a tumor as a safeguard for the rest of
the surrounding tissue.
The tumor encapsulates
the mutated cells into a
biological fortress, as it
were. When a doctor
cuts into that tumor for
biopsy, it will spread
mutated cells back into
your blood stream and
surrounding tissue, as it
is impossible to contain. DO NOT BIOPSY! Even if the tumor is benign,
studies have shown that trauma to a tumor, such as piercing it, can
very quickly mutate cells and become cancerous. Cutting the tumor
out only solves part of the problem. Questions to ponder: Why did
your body grow a tumor to begin with and how will removing a single
tumor prevent it from coming back? Good questions!
When removing a tumor, all doctors are really doing is treating the
symptom, not the cause (other than when a tumor is affecting the
proper function of organs or in the case of a glioblastoma that could be
causing seizures, headaches, vomiting etc.).
Surgery does not produce longevity in cancer patients. In some cases,
the trauma involved with surgery outweighs the benefit. In other cases
the benefits of removal outweigh the trauma.
In many cases, the removal of the tumor through surgery, coupled with
many of the lifestyle changes presented in this book, can have a
dramatic affect on your cancer. It’s your decision!
