It’s kind of like using a poison-laced sugar substance to kill an entire ant
colony! Systemic therapy can be effective, but it’s usually “one size fits
all” and a trade-off, as the side effects can greatly outweigh the
benefits. The physical damage to one’s immune system is
catastrophic. For example, take the popular anti-estrogenic chemo
drug called Tamoxifen.
Tamoxifen is used extensively in treating breast cancer. It says on the
drug label “this drug is Toxic and
Carcinogenic,” which means it also
causes cancer. It also has massive
side effects that can ruin the rest of
your life and cause additional cancers
throughout your body, including
lymph nodes, liver, bladder, and
bones. There are 99 additional chemo
drugs just like that! Do you really
want to put a heavily toxic substance
into a body that is already suffering from toxicity? That’s seems a bit
extreme.
Unfortunately, one of the biggest limitations of systemic cancer
therapies is that they do destroy cancer cells, but they also wipe out
the person’s entire immune system, making them more susceptible for
total immune collapse. For example, if you gave chemo to a perfectly
healthy person, their immune system would crash. Now imagine
giving chemo to someone with cancer that has a compromised
immune system; they don’t stand a chance! Sounds like re-packaged
German Chemical warfare to me.
