Module Components
Before being ready to practice content derivation, you need
to have a list of module components. This list can be used as
a job aid to remind you of the components that you should
almost always include in a module and those that you might
include. In the list of module components that follows, the
items you should almost always include are shown in bold
italics:
Prepare to Practice
These are components used to get students to the point
where they are ready to practice the objective:
•Objective
• Skill check description
• Description of relevance (to the student)
• Modeling (demonstration) of competent performance
• Instructional content (e.g., explanations, demos)
• Alternate resources
