It is rendered in a bright, colorful, and cheerful atmosphere. It is here that we can read the message of a peaceful
                 world.

Even though the color imagery is non-realistic, the viewer does not take issue with this. Instead, they en-
joy the fact that they can be captivated by the fantastic atmosphere. The emphasis is on the fact that by view-
ing her work, one can temporarily escape various real-world difficulties. Her work is also concise in its compo-
sition. The message of the work is mostly peace, and the subjects that appear are generally limited: flowers,
birds, deer, musical instruments, figures, magpies, and trees—all symbolizing the beauty and peace of nature.

These elements intertwine to weave together a simple yet vivid image and message. The theme or content of the
work combines a celebra- tion of nature with the
experience of her personal faith. Of course, impres-
sions of her daily life are also included in the content.

She sought a method to overcome the flat
condition of the canvas and conceived the idea
of Relief (浮彫畵), or bas-re- lief. She uses found
objects like plywood, foam board, washboards,
and window lattices to cre- ate works close to relief
sculpture, featuring both in- taglio (陰刻) and relief (
陽刻) forms. This technique offers a much stronger
image in terms of actual- ity than the illusion
created by chiaroscuro. The spatial change
of rising or receding from the plane possesses
a nature that is intermedi- ate between actual
spatial feeling and the flat surface. In that sense,
depending on the subject, it conveys a feeling close to the direct presentation of a three-dimensional form.

Given that she is clearly captivated by the expressive technique of relief painting, it is likely that her materials will
continue to diversify. I believe it is also important for her to broaden her scope in subject matter and content, not just
staying focused on nature, but also to include stories related to her own reality—her daily life. However, her interest
in people, dreams, and peace will likely remain the guiding thematic consciousness of her artistic world for the time
                 being.
