인사말 Greetings

I am saddened and heartbroken by the recent earthquake in Türkiye.
I empathize even more because I also experienced a natural disaster in Pohang. From the trauma of the earthquake,
which had a huge impact that could not be controlled by human power.
I wish you a speedy recovery and reconstruction.

Following "LINK" in 2022, we are opening the Korea-Türkiye Art Exchange Exhibition this year with the theme "We
go together". Despite the difficult and hectic situation, we are grateful for the encouragement and hard work of many
people who helped us to revitalize art culture and make a leap forward.

I am very pleased that we are able to promote Pohang in Istanbul, a world-class cultural city, introduce Korean artists,
and organize art exhibitions with Türkiye artists in succession last year and this year.

The development of the Internet has made the world feel as close as a neighbor, and the pandemic situation has
rapidly changed our perception of time and space. This situation has also changed art exhibitions and pamphlet
distribution, creating a new art culture using online galleries, e-books, metaverse, and NFT.

ArtPohang is always striving to grow and develop into a differentiated art event by approaching it in a new way and
pioneering new platforms.

With the success of the Korea-Türkiye Art Exchange Exhibition in 2023, we hope that it will become a meaningful
event that will serve as a starting point for cultural exchange between Pohang and Beyoğlu to expand into various
fields, not just art.

We also hope that this art event will be a rewarding exhibition that will also serve as a fundraiser for the earthquake
recovery in Türkiye, which is co-organized by the Türkiye-Korea Culture Exchange Association.
