축 사 Congratulatory Address

We deeply appreciate the significance of the "Korea-Türkiye Art Exchange Exhibition" and extend our heartfelt
gratitude to Chairperson Mrs. Mee-hwa Jang, Pohang Art Committee, and the members of the Türkiye-Korea
Culture Exchange Association for their dedicated efforts in organizing this event.

First of all, our thoughts are with the victims and refugees of the recent earthquake in Türkiye. We stand united
with the 500,000 citizens of Pohang in expressing our sincere condolences and offering words of comfort. We
hope that the wounds and losses suffered by those who have lost loved ones and their homes can be healed and
restored as quickly as possible in the face of this unprecedented and tragic disaster.

Türkiye has a historical brotherly bond with Korea. During the Korean War in 1950, many Türkiye soldiers
August 2023 sacrificed their lives for peace and freedom in the Republic of Korea. We hold the memory of these Türkiye heroes
who fought to protect a nation they had not known well. It is because of their sacrifice that we are able to stand
here today as a thriving nation.

We would like to offer words of encouragement and support to the Turkiye government and the relevant agencies
as they work tirelessly towards the recovery from the earthquake. We would like to collaborate actively with the
South Korean government to assist the restoration and recovery of the brother country Türkiye.

May the friendship between Korea and Türkiye, and the one between Pohang city and Beyoğlu of Istanbul,
continue to flourish, and may we always be a source of strength and support for one another. On this meaningful
occasion, we not only celebrate the deepening of our relationship but also hope that it brings comfort and vitality to
the Türkiye people.

Congratulations on the successful exhibition, and we extend our warmest wishes for the health and happiness of
all those involved. Thank you.
