Only the top 2 in the academic ranking shall be considered in the computation
for First Honor and Second Honor after which the co-curricular is factored in
to decide who between the two becomes the First Honor of the batch.
b. General Scholastic Award for Graduating Senior High School Students
The General Scholastic Award in Grade 12 is computed as the sum of 70%
Year-end Honors Average per strand in Grade 12 and 30% Year-end Honors
Average per strand in Grade 11.
Students with academic deficiencies are excluded from the list of qualified
students. This means that a grade of INC, P or LA in any of the subjects and
in Deportment, in any of the terms, would mean disqualification from the
honors list.
The awards to be given are as follows:

GRADE SCHOOL SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL
First Honor
Second Honor Excellence in Strand Award
Third Honor
Academic Achievement Awards (Year-end award based on the student’s General
Weighted Average for the particular year)
MEDAL ABSOLUTE VALUE
GOLD MEDAL 3.75 – 4.00 with no grade lower than A
SILVER MEDAL 3.50 – 3.74 with no grade lower than A
BRONZE MEDAL 3.25– 3.49 with no grade lower
than A
