OUTDOOR EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM (OEP)/ COMPETITIONS
REPRESENTING THE SCHOOL
Students must bear in mind that during outdoor activities or in representing the school
in competitions, they automatically become ambassadors of the school. They must
therefore conduct themselves in a manner worthy of the school name and honor. They
must refrain from uttering offensive language and from displaying inappropriate
behavior. They should take utmost care that the school does not get embarrassed by
their committing any mischief, misbehavior, or poor conduct during these out-of-
school trips/activities.
Students during OEPs should:
a. wear the prescribed uniform;
b. observe rules set by the field trip organizers, tour guides, teachers, and/or
adult companions;
c. treat conductors/conductresses and drivers with respect;
d. refrain from littering in the bus; and not shout, howl, or engage in any rough
play inside the bus
RESPECT FOR AUTHORITY AND STUDENT LEADERS
Students are expected to show respect to everyone - teachers, staff, aides, maintenance
personnel, school officials, parents, visitors as well as their fellow students who have
been given the authority to lead. Respect for others should be manifested in words,
thoughts, and actions.
Authority is given to individuals who have manifested self-discipline and
responsibility. With leadership comes responsibility and accountability to oneself and
to one’s fellowmen.
On the other hand, students who have been given authority to lead should not use their
power to take advantage of and abuse others.
