“Theatre offered me an escape from
Mediocrity.” A veteran film and stage
actor formed a theatre group called
Motley productions in 1979. His best
theatre performances include
‘Waiting for Godot’, which ran for
three years at Prithvi theatre,
‘Einstein’, a solo play, and ‘Dear
Liar’, a comedy starring both
spouses, Naseeruddin Shah and
Ratna Pathak. He has also worked in
more than 150 films, a few of my
all-time favourites being Masoom,
Katha , and Wednesday.

Kalki Koechlin is best known for her
supporting roles in ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai
Deewani’, ‘Zindagi Na Milegi
Doobara’,and as the lead in a few
eccentric movies like ‘Margarita With a
Straw’. She is not only a phenomenal
actor, but also a director and play
writer. She launched her own theatre
company, ‘Little Productions’ in 2015
and made her writing and directional
debut in ‘The Living Room’ that same
year.
