Favorite teacher from college-
It is difficult to mention one single name as all the teachers have contributed in different
ways. But I would like to say Preetha ma’am is one of my favorite teachers, as she was
the one who selected and introduced me to Student Affairs Committee. She guided me
throughout the journey of 2018 – 2020 Student Affairs, which has boosted my confidence to
take up various activities of Student Affairs for this year.

Most valued things in life-
• Happiness
• Family
• Work

Life value that is always held onto-
Trying my level best not to hurt people around me and to be happy.

Reason for you to choose your profession-
After finishing my masters, I was interested in clinical practice, but after working for 2
months at a hospital setup, I realized that I wanted to do more; Learn, teach, and practice.
Then, I was fortunate enough to do what I desired to do.

Reason to stay in Manipal-
Mainly my family, as I am from this place. I also like this place as it is less crowded,
peaceful, and is a great institute.

Alternate job-
Maybe working as an optometrist in some clinic, hospital or opticals.

Things that go unnoticed-
Usually, efforts put in the background of any task, that are not quantifiable, mostly goes
unnoticed.

Student life and mindset change over the course of time-
Nowadays, students themselves look for higher education opportunities, career options or
job opportunities. They are open and outspoken.

A message for students-
In whichever area you are studying, give your hundred percent in understanding the
concepts. This will help you in your clinical practice.In life, the first step is not a final step.
Things keep changing. Accept the change with positivity and move forward.
