                      Favorite teacher from college-
Although there are many teachers I admire because of some attributes, Dr. Saumy Johnson
is the teacher I consider a role model, for her dedication and adaptability.

                      Most valued things in life-
Three things I value and long for are my loving and supportive family, good health, and good
friendship. Sometimes, we fail to recognize the contributions these factors play in our lives,
but when I am faced with trouble, these are the things I instantly turn to, for motivation and
                      solace.

Life value that is always held onto-
One life value I would hang on to is patience. Patience enables us to let go of things outside
of our control and helps us make better decisions and makes our life less stressful.

Reason for you to choose your profession-
I always liked the idea of working in challenging situations and through Respiratory Therapy,
I get the excitement of caring for patients in emergency and critical care situations. Choosing
to become a Respiratory Therapy educator enables me to impart the knowledge attained
through this experience to the next generation of Respiratory Therapists.

                      Reason to stay in Manipal-
I did work outside of Manipal for a brief stint following the completion of my education, but I
came back to MAHE, the first chance I got. The reason to continue in MAHE is the
world-class infrastructure for teaching-learning and the equal importance MAHE attaches to
the physical and mental well-being of everyone.

                      Alternate job-
I would be practicing as a Respiratory Therapist, saving, and improving lives, if not for
training future RTs and enabling them to do so.

                      Things that go unnoticed-
We mostly fail to recognize and thank God for the countless blessings we are showered with
every day. These blessings may come in the form of our parents, friends, or sometimes,
                      even strangers!

Student life and mindset change over the course of time-
There have been some changes noticed in the students over the past few years, but none so
significant as the role of technology in shaping their lives.
Technology is a good servant, but a bad master.
