THE FUTURE/STRATEGIC PRIORITIES




                                                   RETENTION




         To keep our best people we will:

                •  Be clear on our vision and ethos, to attract and retain Trustees, staff and

                    volunteers, who are a good fit with our culture and mission.

                •  Demonstrate that we value our people at every opportunity, through
                    providing them with the resources they require, recognising achievements
                    and being a supportive employer.

                •  Develop our people to continually improve, by providing training, coaching
                    and progression opportunities.

                •  Reward staff as best we can, through appropriate pay rates and other

                    benefits that add value.

                •  Ensure that we engage effectively by having clear, accessible and open
                    channels of communication.

                •  Help everyone’s wellbeing through provision of support opportunities and
                    social activities.

                •  Strive to replicate what works well in some projects, into those where
                    retention is an issue.



         Required Action: develop a comprehensive Succession Plan for all levels within the

         organisation.
