Who We Are

Wonder Woods Woodland Nursery is West Lothian’s first fully
outdoor nursery. We are:

Located at Tor Whitie Woodland, near Harburn, West Calder creating
memories
Part of Play Works’ Simply Play social enterprise offering
childcare across West Lothian.

Registered with the Care Inspectorate to provide Day Care
to children aged between 2½ to school age.

A Partnership nursery with West Lothian Council, meaning
you can use your 1,140 hours of free childcare with us

between Mondays and Thursdays.

We aim to support children and provide them with the freedom to
learn, play and grow in their natural world.

Our team of experienced staff have a
passion for the outdoors and its endless
benefits. They will encourage your
child’s own curiosity and inspire them to
explore and respect their natural world.
Your child will have access to natural
resources to inspire their learning
through play: building, problem solving,

practical numeracy, creative thinking,
arts, and literacy.

Whether in our Play Works parent charity, in
Simply Play, or in Wonder Woods itself, we
know that outdoor learning works.
