Meet the Staff

Our Manager

Stacey Murney building
I have over ten years’ experience working with children resilience
and young people, and have been the Wonder Woods
Manager since 2022. I’m committed to developing our Early Years provision in the
outdoors as I truly value the many benefits it brings to children’s development.
Throughout my time with the organisation, I’ve gained a wealth of experience
supporting children and families in a variety of ways, and I’m dedicated to
creating the best possible environment for them to grow, learn, and thrive.

Our Practitioners

Dave Holt
I’m the Senior Practitioner at Wonder Woods, with a BSc (Hons) in Zoology, the
Queen’s Scout Award, and many years of experience in camping, walking, and
other outdoor pursuits. I’ve worked exclusively with children aged 2–5 and believe
deeply in helping them grow and thrive in the natural environment. I love
supporting children as they marvel at the wonders of the world and feed their
natural curiosity. I enjoy learning about Scottish history and playing the guitar.

Jeanie Garfoot
I’m a Practitioner who is passionate about the outdoors and all things nature. I
began working with Simply Play in August 2023 before taking my adventures to the
Woods. I love working with children and have proudly volunteered at my village
Galaday for over 20 years. One of my dreams is to explore every corner of Bonnie
Scotland in a campervan—once I finally get it built! I enjoy mountain walks,
sunshine, and the occasional thrill like skydiving!

Olivia Black
I started my career as a Modern Apprentice and have since progressed into a
Practitioner role. Throughout this journey, I have developed a strong passion for
supporting children’s learning, particularly within outdoor environments, where I
believe children thrive through exploration and play. In my spare time, I enjoy
taking my dog on walks to new places, including beaches and large woodlands,
and spending time with my friends and family.

Sanah Ali
I am a Modern Apprentice Practitioner. I love coming to Wonder Woods every day
and turning every moment into a learning experience for the children. Being part of
our warriors’ lives and watching them try new things and grow each day is
incredibly rewarding. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, especially sci‑fi books. I am
currently working towards my Level 7 qualification in Childcare and am passionate
about continuing to develop my skills to support each child’s journey.
