“Count Me In!” Charitable Deduction

Programs and Corporate Giving Programs

Giving back is an important part of AEO’s culture, which is why we have several
options for you to choose from to make your mark on your community.

AEO realizes that our Associates enjoy giving back to the community, but may not
have time to participate in AE Foundation volunteer activities. So, the Count Me In!
program was established. All benefits-eligible Associates are eligible to participate.
To participate, you must elect to withhold a minimum of $1 per pay period from your
pay cheque by submitting the form on page 29. The Count Me In! payroll deduction
program will support causes important to the AE Foundation, our customers, and
our employees. Use the form on page 29 to elect to have your donation support one
of the following two charities:
• AEO FOUNDATION: Focuses on improving the quality of life anywhere
AEO Associates and customers live, work, and play. By donating and utilizing OPTIONAL BENEFITS
our most valuable assets (AEO volunteers), the AEO Foundation gives back
to communities by supporting student-related programs focused on youth
development and conserving our environment. For more information, visit

• HELPING HANDS FUND: This program was established to help AEO Associates
who have suffered a vast personal tragedy (i.e. a house fire, death of a parent,
etc.). The program is funded by contributions made by our very own Associates
and by AEO. The fund is available to all AEO Associates in good standing with
the Company. Applications are evaluated by a group of Associates making up
the American Eagle Outfitters Helping Hand Review Committee. Donations to
this fund are not tax deductible.

Matching Gifts
When you give to causes you care about, AEO will match up to $1,000 annually
to qualified non-profit organizations on behalf of each full-time and regular
part-time Associate! It’s as easy as forwarding your online donation receipt to
matchinggifts@ae.com ($50 minimum gift).

Volunteer Recognition
If you dedicate 25 hours or more to your favourite non-profit over the course of the
year, AEO will recognize your service with a $500 donation to the organization.

Team of Ten
AEO supports Associates who take the time to volunteer as a group out-
side of work hours. If 10 or more Associates participate in a volunteer activity
supporting a charitable cause, AEO will donate $500 to the qualifying
non-profit. If 20 or more Associates participate in a volunteer activity, AEO will
donate $1,000 on behalf of the team. To learn more, please contact Abby Vanim
