Paid Time Off Benefits
Leona Group understands the importance of taking time off from work. Everyone needs time to relax, be alone, or be with family
and friends. There are also times when you may need to take time off to take care of personal, business, or family needs.
Leona Group offers the following categories of paid time off:
Benefit Who is Eligible and When What You Receive
Holidays Regular Full-Time Employees The number of holidays varies by location. A list is posted annually.
Year-round employees earn 48 hours (6 days) per year with the
option to roll over unused time to a maximum of 96 hours (12 days).
Personal Time Regular Full-Time Employees
School-year employees earn 40 hours (5 days) per year, to a
maximum of 80 hours (10 days).
Hire Date prior to October 1, 2009: 20 days
Hire Date on or after October 1, 2009: See below.
Years of Service Number of Weeks
Regular Full-Time 2 weeks per fiscal year
Vacation 0 to 2 Years
Year-Round Employees (3.33 hours per pay period worked)
3 weeks per fiscal year
3 to 4 Years
(5.00 hours per pay period worked)
5+ Years 4 weeks per fiscal year
Employees may be granted up to three days of paid bereavement
leave for the death of an immediate family member. Leona Group
defines immediate family members as an employee’s spouse;
parent/parent-in-law; stepparent; grandparent or
grandparent-in-law; daughter or son (including stepchildren);
Bereavement Leave Regular Full-Time Employees
daughter-or son-in-law; sister or brother (including step and
half-siblings); sister- or brother-in-law and grandchild.
Employees are granted one day of bereavement leave in case
of death of any other family member such as an aunt or uncle,
aunt- or uncle-in-law; niece or nephew.
Full-time Regular employees will not lose pay as a result of serving
on a jury or appearing as a witness as a result of a subpoena when
required by law up to a maximum of two weeks.
Jury Duty Regular Full-Time Employees
Court-ordered appearances in excess of two weeks will be charged
first to vacation time, then personal time.
When paid time off is exhausted, the employee will not be compensated.
