engender a tangible feeling of a special comradeship and a bond that has been developed over a number of years through our service and time within the Corps. I feel honoured to be part of something very special which you cannot  nd elsewhere after you leave the Army so when I leave these Association occasions to come home, it is with a little sadness but these annual dinners give me the opportunity to meet friends and likeminded people so I immediately start to look forward to the next Association event.
The RAPTC Association Branches are a vitally important part of the Corps fabric and are essential for providing and maintaining a local focus for members of the Association thereby keeping the Corps ethos alive, especially for those who have left the Army. It is only possible for these Branches to exist and survive through the commitment and voluntary work of the Branch Chairmen, Secretaries and their teams of helpers for which we are all most grateful. In addition to their annual gatherings the Branch Chairmen and Secretaries represent the Association at funerals, provide some support to those in need and update their members with all the relevant information so, on behalf of all Association members I will take this opportunity to publically thank them all for their hard work in running the Branches for their members.
Army School of Physical Training (Germany) Close Down. The  nal ASPT (G) Pass Out and Closure Parade took place in Normandy Barracks, Sennelager on Thursday 8 October 2015. Following the Pass Out Parade there was a formal Beating Retreat and the lowering of the Corps Flag for the  nal time at the ASPT (G). The day concluded with a formal Regimental Dinner in the Normandy
