Building a Database

• The correct rotation direction is required for Flux monitoring; check the Counter-
Clockwise Rotation box if the rotor turns counter-clockwise at the connection end of
the asset.

• The number of poles is required for EV and Flux monitoring. This will be calculated
automatically after the operating frequency and the shaft speed are set.

• The correct pole numbering direction is required for Flux monitoring; check the
Counter-Clockwise Pole Numbers box if the pole numbering is counter-clockwise at
the connection end of the asset.
• The number of stator slots is required for EV monitoring.

• The number of coils per pole is required for Flux monitoring if the rotor design type
is set to Round Rotor.

• The correct slot numbering direction is required for EV monitoring; check the
Counter-Clockwise Slot Numbers box if the slot numbering is counter-clockwise at
the connection end of the asset.

• Top-center slot number is required for EV monitoring. This is the slot number of the
slot at the 12:00 position on the asset.

Note:
The operating frequency, shaft speed and number of poles are all tied
together. Once the operating frequency and one of the other
properties are entered the third will be automatically calculated.
