Adding Sensors

Once the sensors are added, they will show up in the database tree under the selected
Asset.

5.1. Adding Endwinding Vibration Sensors

Adding EV sensors is a multi-step process:
• Define the physical sensors that are installed on the asset.

• Enter the physical location information for each sensor.
• Define the axis (or axes) that each sensor can monitor.

Note:
During EV sensor configuration, if ‘Cancel’ is pressed, all changes will
be discarded without adding them to the database.

5.1.1. Define Physical EV Sensors
The first page of the EV sensor editor shows the sensors that are installed on the asset
and allows you to add more. The currently installed sensors are listed in a table; more
sensors can be added, and if the asset has a shaft trigger sensor installed, make sure that
the checkbox is selected.
