5.1.1. Define EV Sensor Installation Locations
The second page of the EV sensor editor shows the sensors’ physical installation
location. There are 2 pieces of information for each sensor; the location indicates what part
of the asset the sensor is installed on, and the position indicates where on the circumference
of the asset the sensor is.

Select the Location for each sensor; one of:
• Unknown – this is not recommended as it will limit the capabilities of the EVView for
data analysis on GuardII+ monitors (refer to 9.1).
• Phase Lead
• Neutral Lead

• Ring Bus
• Connection End Bar

• Non-Connection End Bar
• Connection End Slot Exit
• Non-Connection End Slot Exit

• Connection End Core
• Non-Connection End Core

Select the Position for each sensor; there is one option for every slot number plus
‘Unknown’.

• Unknown is not recommended, as it will limit the capabilities of EVView for data
analysis (refer to Section 9.1.6).
