For example, suppose that ‘PL Slot 42’ is a dual-axis sensor monitoring radial and
tangential vibration, and that we want to set up the sensor so that the axes are linked. To
do this:

• Set the orientation for one signal of PL Slot 42 to ‘Radial’.
• Set the orientation for the other signal of PL Slot 42 to ‘Tangential’.

• Set the Linked Sensor for PL Slot 42-R to ‘PL Slot 42-T’ or set the Linked Sensor for
PL Slot 42-T to ‘PL Slot 42-R’; the other half of the linked sensor will be updated
automatically.

5.1.3. EV Sensor Installation Report
On pressing ‘Finish’ IAM will check all the data for any issues; if any issues are found, a
warning is shown, and you can either go back and fix them or proceed. Once the warnings
have been resolved (or ignored), a report is then produced that can be saved or printed as
desired.
