Adding Sensors

                                       Note:
The Shaft Trigger setup is shared between the EV sensor editor and
the Flux sensor editor; changes in one will affect the other.

                          • Select ‘Key Phasor Installed’ if a Shaft Trigger will be used.
To setup the sensor positions, select ‘Marker’, ’Key Phasor’, ‘Flux Probe’ or ‘Tangential
Probe’ and then select the location on the diagram where each is installed. The diagram
shown in Figure 5-10 will vary depending on the number of poles the asset has, but the
                       functionality is the same.

              5.3. Adding PD Sensors
Adding PD sensors is a multi-step process:

                          • Define the monitor that will be connected to the asset.
                          • Define the number of PD sensors.

                          • Define the type of PD sensors.
                          • Set parameters specific to the selected PD technology.

              5.3.1. Define PD Monitor

First, select the type of monitor that will be connected to the asset. The options are:
                          • BusGuardII – used for both the original BusGuardII and the GuardII+ BUS PD
                              technology.
                          • BusTracII
                          • HydroGuardII – used for both the original HydroGuardII and the GuardII+ PDA PD
                              technology.
