Adding Sensors

                          • Use the control to select the correct angle in degrees.

                          • Alternately, select the ‘Reference Angle’ link at the top of the Reference Angle
column to launch the Reference Angles Assistant. This can be used to determine
the correct reference angles based on the phase rotation and physical installation
method of the reference. On pressing ‘OK’, the angle values calculated are applied.

              5.4. Adding SM Sensors

Adding SM sensors is a two-step process:
                          • Define the sensors that will be installed, and where they are located.
                          • Define the sensitivity of each sensor.

              5.4.1. Define Sensors
First, select the sensors that are installed on the asset. The options are:
                          • Generator-End Voltage brush (GV).

                          • Generator-End Current brush (G1).
                          • Turbine-End Voltage brush (TV).

                          • Turbine-End Current brush (G2).

                                       Note:
The selection of SM sensors cannot be modified later; if you plan to
add more SM sensors later, enable them now.

Optionally, place the sensors on the diagram to represent the physical installation
                       location:
                          • Select the sensor that you wish to place.
