The following items are also required for the installation but are not provided in the
GuardII+ SM card installation kit.
• Current brushes, shunts. and Termination Boxes. These will be included in the
appropriate sensor installation kits.
• Connection cable. This is provided in the Termination box.

• Conduit and fittings
• Assorted tools

2.3. Computer Requirements

GuardII+ requires a computer for configuration. Once the monitor is running, a computer
can also be used to download and store measurement results. Refer to the GuardII+ Series
4208 Platform User Manual for computer requirements.

2.4. Initial Inspection

On first receiving the GuardII+ SM card, inspect the shipping container for damage. If the
shipping container or cushioning material is damaged, keep it until the contents of the
shipment have been checked. Check the shipment for completeness (refer to Section 2.2)
and physical damage.
