6.3.4. Alert Configuration
On this screen the Alert thresholds can be manually entered; when manually entering the
Alert thresholds, be sure not to set the threshold higher than the input can detect.

Alternatively, GuardII+ has an Alert Auto-Learn feature for SM monitoring. Using Auto-
Learn will start a 24-hour period where the monitor will track measurement results and then
set the Alert thresholds based on the measurement results. Press the ‘Start Auto-Learning’
button and then upload the settings to start the Alert Threshold Auto-Learn function. If the
monitor is currently in the middle of an Auto-Learn process, this can be turned off here as well
by pressing the button and then uploading.
NOTE:
Do not use the Auto-Learn function unless the machine being monitored
is running.
When Auto-Learn mode is enabled, the following occurs:
• The monitor is put online.
• Measurements are taken and archived as normal.
• For a period of 24 hours, the measurement data is analyzed, and Alert thresholds are
set for each input based on the data collected.
• After the Auto-Learn period, normal operation resumes.
After the 24-hour Auto-Learn period, the Alert levels are set as follows:
