These deaths are preventable. Nonetheless, they
continue. If the people who we trust our lives to are
this careless and negligent, what can we expect from
the average person who hasn’t been trained in science
and medicine?
Even now, with all of our new modern medical
advancements and scientific breakthroughs, infectious
disease outbreaks continue to occur. Fortunately though,
most of the world is unaware it, because the majority
of outbreaks don’t reach pandemic proportions, as did
the coronavirus.
You get no argument from me; I get it. Most often,
animals transmit diseases, but humans are (without a
doubt) the guilty parties when it comes to spreading
them. Animals don’t buy plane tickets, take cruises or
pack out stadiums. Nor do animals cough and sneeze
all over classrooms, supermarkets, buses and the
workplace.
“I suppose as long as there are humans, there will
always be pestilences, plagues, infectious diseases,
contagious viruses— and deadly consequences.”
